My approach

The medicine opens a door. Therapy walks you through it.

Research into psilocybin keeps pointing to the same conclusion: outcomes depend on preparation, setting, and skilled support — not the substance alone. My practice is built around that evidence. Every journey is preceded by a real therapeutic relationship and followed by structured integration, so insight becomes change you can live.

About me

Meet Ron Burden

Hello! I am a licensed Psilocybin Facilitator based in Oregon and owe much gratitude to the mushrooms to offer this work. Through large dose journeys, I can attest from my own experience of psilocybin's healing power.

Because of its heart opening nature, the potential to grow in new ways and let go of deep wounds — psilocybin was a missing piece in my recovery from alcohol abuse and prolonged grief. I lost my mom at a young age and carried that grief with me well into adulthood. As I struggled to come to terms with that loss, I ultimately turned to drinking to mask the pain and escape reality.

I was introduced to psychedelics recreationally as a teenager and while helpful at times, the setting was often inappropriate and some negative experiences occurred. After a long break, I came back to psychedelics and psilocybin in particular with intention and a readiness for change. I have witnessed that psilocybin has helped release my mind from rigid looping thought patterns, deeply held trauma, adverse childhood experiences and severe depression. With integration and time to heal, the journey experience has provided me closure, hope and reclaimed joy.

As a facilitator I use a non-directive, harm reduction based approach. I am willing to meet you exactly where you are at — serving all populations and specifically those in active recovery from addiction, dealing with prolonged grief, depression, PTSD, male drift, loneliness or stuck in life. Whether it be as an individual or part of a group session, my presence as a facilitator is to provide safe passage as you take a deep dive inward with the mushrooms.

In these uncertain times the most profound change we can manifest is found within ourselves to touch peace. I invite you to work with me on the path to a richer, more rewarding life!
